Work in progress — prototype of the next version of The Technical Collective site.
A Salesforce Commons project

Upskill. Volunteer. Impact.

A volunteer program that pairs nonprofits with junior Salesforce admins — mentored by seasoned experts — to deliver real projects that grow careers and missions.

One problem, three sides

The Technical Collective was born from an age-old problem in the Salesforce ecosystem — where each group has exactly what another is missing.

Junior admins can't get a start

Certified but stuck — without real-world experience, landing that first role is hard.

Nonprofits need help

Donated Salesforce licenses, but limited resources to set them up or maintain them.

Experts want to give back

Seasoned pros are ready to mentor — they just need the structure to do it well.

We bring all three together: juniors gain experience, nonprofits get support, and experts share their craft.

Our Mission

A win-win-win ecosystem

The Technical Collective aims to create value for everyone it touches.

For inexperienced admins

Provide a clear pathway to gain real-world project experience while being mentored by seasoned professionals.

For experienced professionals

Offer a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community, mentor upcoming talent, and support non-profits.

For non-profits

Help charities maximise their Salesforce investment and impact, all while minimising technical debt.

For the ecosystem

Bridge the technical skills gap in the Salesforce community.

How it works

A simple, supported path from sign-up to real impact.

1

Apply as a nonprofit, junior admin, or expert to join an upcoming sprint cohort.

2

Get matched

We pair a nonprofit's scoped project with a junior admin and a mentoring expert.

3

Deliver & grow

The work ships, the nonprofit benefits, and the admin gains real-world experience.
